In order to enter you must submit a single track with contact details to email@example.com by the 24th of June where 10 finalists will be selected by the judging panel which will consist of Steve Amos (Manager of Stanley), Chris Lemon, Rob Saunders (Deuce Management and Promotion) and Martin MacKillop (The Great Northern Radio Show, Cuillin FM) ). The finalists will then go to the public vote between the 23rd of July – 31st of July (details of which will be announced nearer the time) with the winner announced live on Cuillin FM on the 6th of August between 1 and 3pm.
Steve Amos (Manager of Aberdeen band Stanley) commented that he was “really looking forward to hearing the great music that is out there but sadly not getting heard due to the media jumping on to the next big thing that sounds like Lady Gaga”(should lady Gaga feel like applying I think they would be quite keen!).
Chris Grant, volunteer presenter at Cuillin FM, hopes that it will be a big success for the station “I really hope that this competition will bring the attention of many people to Cuillin FM and I hope it also helps independent artists. I’m delighted that it's going to be taking place on Highland Uproar”
You can hear Highland Uproar with Chris Grant every Saturday from 1pm and repeated on Wednesdays from 12pm-2pm.
