Raasay Gala

Saturday 24th July 2010

A great day on Raasay for the Gala on Saturday 24th July with the weather relenting in the afternoon. The sun shone for a little while and the rain disappeared as everyone enjoyed the entertainment culminating with the Fergie Pull and the bonfire. The Portree High School Pipe band were the highlight of the day playing sets at numerous times throughout the day.

This was a first for Cuillin FM broadcasting live from the island and hopefully everyone who listened enjoyed the programne. While fraught with technical difficulties we think it was successful and thanks to the organisers of the Gala for the invitation and the hospitality.
